Chairman: Chris Medlin
Chris started with Alan Wood & Partners in 1979 and he was promoted to associate in 1989. He headed the Scarborough office from 1991 to 1994 before returning to the Hull office as director of the Civils team and also company secretary. In 2006 Chris became Chairman of Alan Wood & Partners. He has vast experience in all aspects of civil engineering and has been involved in many projects including marine works.
Section Leader: Andy Ringrose
Andy joined Alan Wood and Partners in 1989 and after attaining status as an Incorporated Engineer and membership to the Institute of Engineering Designers and Highways and Transportation he was promoted to section leader in 2001. Andy has a team of engineers and technicians dealing with general civil engineering. However, Andy's specialty is roads, drainage and highways.
Director: Mike Blake
Mike is a Chartered Engineer and has over 25 years experience in both the UK and The Middle East. After being made an associate in 1997 Mike was responsible for the running of the building surveying department and later became director of this department. In 2006 Mike also became director of the Structural Engineering department.
Associate: Martin Richards
A Chartered engineer for 20 years, Martin started with Alan Wood & Partners in 1978 as a design engineer working on major projects. In 1989 Martin was promoted to associate and heads a team of Structural Engineers and technicians dealing with all types of projects.
Section Leader: John Elsom
John is a long standing member of the Alan Wood & Partners staff working in the structural design team since 1978. With an extensive knowledge of structural design, John has over the past few years specialised in modular buildings and played a large part in the design team for the tallest modular building in the world.
