The skills developed by Alan Wood & Partners' design engineers to ensure buildings within the petro-chemical sector can withstand blast are now also being utilised to ensure structures designed by the practice can withstand specified bomb blast scenarios, at home and abroad.

Alan Wood & Partners were commissioned by ConocoPhillips to design a new two storey office block that would withstand a specific blast load from the refinery in addition to the normal design loads.
