Risk Assessment & Remediation

Alan Wood & Partners routinely undertake detailed quantative groundwork’s and human health risk assessments in respect of the ground on sites. We can determine any potential impacts on sensitive receptors and design appropriate remedial measures to mitigate such risks. Our specialist knowledge can be used to either design and specify a remediation strategy or to supervise and validate that the specified works have been carried out as requested or we can combine both of the foregoing and offer a total solution. In such cases Alan Wood & Partners will review any problematic site, carry out a desktop study, design, specify and manage the implementation of the necessary measures.

Since the 1960’s large areas of Colwick Industrial Estate were used for bulk fuel storage serviced by a network high pressure pipelines from the North Sea. Since the recent decommissioning of the various fuel storage facilities, the area has been subject to numerous phases of Geo-Environmental investigation by Alan Wood & Partners.
