ISO 19650

06/07/23

Alan Wood & Partners has been awarded UKAS product certification for Building Information Modelling (BIM) by Lloyds Register Quality Assurance (LRQA). The ISO 19650 standard is an international standard for managing information over the whole life cycle of a built asset using building information modelling (BIM).

Increasingly clients are placing importance on the need for organisations to be certified with regards to BIM and are seeking to work with those who hold industry-recognised forms of accreditation, such as that provided by LRQA.

To achieve the certification Alan Wood and Partners underwent a meticulous audit process with the LRQA team and were proven to be able to demonstrate use of correct procedures in BIM execution and delivery plans, handling of all client information, and the use of appropriate templates and guidance on our projects.

This certification has only been awarded to a few organisations to date and will form the foundation of Alan Wood & Partner’s approach to management of information.

The organisation is now certified as a Project Delivery Provider (Business Systems) – Appointed Party, to ISO 19650-2:2018, the global standard for the organisation and digitisation of information about buildings and civil engineering works, including building information modelling (BIM).

Mark Barwood, Alan Wood & Partners Director responsible for BIM said: “Clients are now requiring the reassurance that they are accessing the services of organisations which consistently provide work of the highest standards.  Formal accreditations, such as certification to ISO 19650, provides this reassurance and reflects our intention and commitment to innovation and excellence in all we do.”
