The role

The ideal candidate will use their skills and knowledge to add value to a wide range of construction projects across the entire construction spectrum. Current projects include schools, colleges and universities, commercial, residential, industrial, petrochemical, food, and energy.

As an experienced Senior Engineer within the civil and structural team, your primary focus will be to undertake civil/structural engineering design, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

You will contribute to and oversee the production of technical drawings, calculations, and specifications while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated design solutions. You will be expected to mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers, uphold high technical standards, and build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

You will need to organise your work systematically, collaborating with colleagues to manage fluctuations in resource demand, and assist in prioritising project delivery.

Required for the position

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • You should be a proactive, self-motivated, enthusiastic and engaging team player.
  • A bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required; a master's degree would be an advantage.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in civil & structural engineering, with a focus on designing and delivering complex projects
  • Working towards Chartered Engineer status with a relevant professional body
  • Proficient in the effective use of industry-standard software for structural analysis and design.
  • Excellent knowledge of relevant codes and regulations
  • Effective communication abilities, both written and verbal, to engage with clients and team members
  • Full UK driving licence.
