The role

As an experienced Civil & Drainage Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering effective drainage and civil engineering solutions, ensuring all work complies with current industry regulations and environmental standards.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of construction projects across multiple sectors, including education, commercial, residential, industrial, petrochemical, food, and energy. You will contribute your technical expertise and problem-solving skills to add tangible value throughout the planning and design stages of each project.

You will be expected to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and take part in site assessments where necessary. Clear and effective communication will be important, particularly when producing reports that support planning applications and the successful delivery of projects. While this is not a senior role, you will be encouraged to support junior staff where appropriate, helping to maintain the high technical standards we strive for across all our work.

Required for the position

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a relevant role.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (a Master’s degree would be an advantage).
  • A sound knowledge of relevant codes and regulations.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage with clients and team members.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Proficient use of Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D and Autodesk InfoDrainage (MicroDrainage). Familiarity with Site3D is considered an advantage.
  • Ability to plan and manage your own workload in a structured and organised manner.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to help balance team workloads during busy periods.
  • Contributing to the prioritisation of project delivery in line with client expectations and project requirements.
  • Being a proactive, self-motivated, enthusiastic and engaging team player.
