The event explores the story of Lancaster Bomber VN N (R5689), commemorated through the iconic Lincolnshire “Gateway” sculpture, and highlights the vision, engineering and fabrication behind it - along with the challenges of delivering a unique structure using modern digital design technologies.
AWP provided civil and structural engineering at the International Bomber Command Centre, including the Memorial Spire, Chadwick Centre and wider site infrastructure, our role covered foundations, structural design, drainage strategy and geotechnical investigations - helping to deliver this nationally significant place of remembrance.
