2025 RIBA Yorkshire Award - Winner

03 June 2025

We were delighted to attend the annual RIBA Awards Dinner earlier this month as a guest of Bauman Lyons Architects, where Hull Minster picked up the RIBA Yorkshire Award 2025.

Alan Wood & Partners worked closely with Bauman Lyons, the Client, the design team and many stakeholders for over 12 years on this Grade I heritage project, with the objective to re-engage the Minster with the City, extend the Minster’s reach to the local community, increase visitor numbers and to reinstate its position as the heart of the Old Town sustaining its 800 year legacy for future generations.

Commenting on the award, The Jury were impressed with the new-found possibilities of the building, as a place of worship, cultural and civic centre, gallery, marketplace, as well as a warm space and place of refuge.

Alan Wood & Partners delivered to Civil, Structural, Project Management, Cost Consultancy and Geotechnical services on the scheme along with providing a Conservation Accredited Registered Engineer.
