The house is a replacement dwelling located within the North York Moors National Park. The original building suffered major damage from fire in 2013 and was beyond repair. At the rear of the property, a double garage with green roof was installed into the hill-side.
A new stone and timber clad building was designed to reflect the pattern of the former building. The new house has been designed to maximise the distant views from all principal rooms with lost corner sliding doors and significant glazed areas. The walls were constructed from insulated concrete slipform that sped up construction.
Works included the design and detailing of foundations, upper floors and retaining walls to the garage, sauna and main rear wall of the property including the sizing of all steel beams and roof.
